SO PURE has a beautiful fruity nose of red cherries and raspberries, with peppery accents and savory notes. Medium body with a refreshing dry texture, clean and balanced. The wine pairs perfectly with cold cuts and light cheese, as well as light meat dishes such as pork or chicken with savory cream sauces.
The grapes for SO PURE NSA Red Wine come from the Grapes come from Nuna Vineyard in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza at an altitude of 960 m. Grapes are hand-picked, early in the harvest season to ensure their integrity, and carefully sorted for this delicate wine to ensure only the best grapes are crushed. The production process is ultra-hygienic to ensure that no impurities reach the wine at any point during fermentation or bottling. 50% of the grapes went through carbonic maceration in order to get the best balance in between the acidity of early picked Bonarda and the fruitiness and mild texture desired for this wine.
Bonarda – Argentina’s Other Famous Red Grape
Bonarda (also known as Douce Noir) has been known for its rich notes and juicy taste, which originally grows in the Piedmont region of Italy; however, its growth expanded to Argentina. The wine grape traces its roots to three thousand years back. Today, Bonarda can be found all across the warm climate sites with cooler night-time temperatures. The full-bodied wine caters notes of cherries, fennel, dried fig, and cassis. The versatile wine is wonderful served with cheese topped dishes, including pizza and baked pasta. The Bonarda grape has a thick skin, which requires consistent heat for ripening. The vines of rich grapes are usually vibrant and therefore have the violet rich color with full-bodied flavor notes and vintage aroma. Bonarda is a full-bodied varietal, especially compared to Malbec, and usually has softer tannins, less intensity and phenolics. The addition of Malbec adds ripe red berries and blackcurrant aromas, with flavors that are long and fresh.
SO PURE NSA Red Wine is part of the Inkarri brand produced by Proviva Winery, based in the heart of Mendoza, Argentina. Proviva embodies the quest for a wine identity that is both original and authentic. Their estate-grown wines are produced exclusively from organic and Biodynamic vineyards located in the best terroirs of Mendoza. The resulting varietal wines are the purest expression of the region’s outstanding calcareous soils. Organic and Biodynamic agriculture guarantee a viticulture with no inputs, where vines authentically express the character of place.
Inkarri wines are produced from the organic and Biodynamic vineyards in the small village of Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, “the home of Malbec.” Agrelo’s terroir is considered to be some of the best in Mendoza for the production of complex red wines made from Malbec. Based in the western foothills of the Andes mountains, the wine-producing zone of Agrelo slopes upward from the town, with slopes reaching more than 3,000 Feet (1000m) above sea level. The region has a dry, desert-like climate, situated in the rain shadow of the Andes. Warm, sunny days are followed by much cooler nights due to cold winds that flow from the snow-capped Andes. This desirable diurnal shift of temperatures extends the ripening period and produces wines with balanced acidity and complex flavor profiles.
