Red (black) grape varietal, the Spanish name for the Mourvèdre of France. Grown in the hot, central region of Spain, including the Jumilla DOC. Bright dark ruby black color. Fruity, woody earthy aromas with ripe black cherries and dried violets. Crisp, dryish full body with black fruit flavors, fine tannins and often light oak treatment.
