Sara with the Grapes and Wine blog has you covered with a review of four guilt free organic wines from our Italian producer, Cantina Pizzolato.
“Are you ready to enjoy some without the guilt? Yes you heard me right, because we all know that even though we never want to admit it, wine does have calories in it. But what if I told you that you could enjoy wine and feel better about enjoying it? Today I am bringing you four wines that are not only delicious but also organic and vegan. So, sit back, grab a glass and relax.
La Cantina Pizzolato, located in the Veneto region, produces Italy’s number-one selling Italian organic wines. Located in the rich and flourishing countryside north of Treviso, the organic vineyards are situated on the plains and hillsides in this DOC area. The organic wine estate covers an area of 58 hectares and it also collaborates with neighboring producers contributing an additional 48 hectares of organically grown grapes. The Pizzolato family has been working in the agricultural sector for more than five generations, consistently living in harmony with nature and the environment.
The winery combines five generations of farming history and tradition with a deep commitment to organic wine production. This consideration of the natural world creates Italian organic wines of the highest quality.
Four Guilt Free Organic Wines
The first wine on the list has a story behind it. My boyfriend and I went a few weeks back to my favorite jazz wine bar (Lagniappe House, Miami). The best part of this bar is that when you walk in the main room is wall to wall wine. He found a nice refreshing Prosecco and we took the bottle, glass and ice bucket outside. After popping the cork, I was surprised that it was a Pizzolato Moscato. Now you should know by now that sweet wines are not my thing, but this one I loved. After that night I looked up the wine and had it, along with three other wines, shipped to my home for review. Flavors of this wine are banana custard pie and nectarine. Food I would pair with this wine would be herbal and spicy cheeses, or Gorgonzola. A perfect dessert wine!
Second on the list is yet another prosecco because you know I am a woman who loves her bubbles; Paloma “Rose Secco“. But this one was made just for us women, mainly because of the pink color. So, if you love bubbles and pink, then this wine is for you. Flavor profile of this wine is fruity with hints of cherry with a hint of vanilla. Food I would pair with this wine would be sautéed vegetables, grilled fish.

Last on the list is for all the red wine lovers. Now, out of all the wine regions in Italy, when it comes to wine, Chianti has to be my favorite. Due to its smooth body and strong flavors this wine (Pizzolato Chianti) does not disappoint. Flavors are dark cherry, eucalyptus, black raspberry, and lightly smoky tobacco. Food I would pair with this wine would be pot roast and white meats and cheeses.”
