May 5 is Cinco de Mayo, and the perfect opportunity for unique organic wine pairings with your favorite Mexican foods. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican army’s victory over French forces during the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Though greatly outnumbered, the Mexican army successfully defeated the much better equipped French army during the battle. Today, Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Mexican heritage and culture and includes festivals, parties, and parades with traditional Mexican food and music.
