Pizzolato Organic Chianti Gets a Refresh
Our Cantina Pizzolato organic Chianti is getting a facelift and the future’s so bright it’s gotta wear shades!
Pizzolato Chianti has gone to the dogs, with a fun redesign of their label featuring a puppy wearing green sunglasses. The puppy is “seeing the world through green colored glasses” and is a nod to Pizzolato’s green vision of sustainability and dedication to the environment. Pizzolato Chianti is now DOCG, and has a new NOMACORC recycled cork made from sustainable raw materials as well as a lighter glass bottle.
From Pizzolato about their new design: “What would happen if we all looked at the world through the perspective of animals, through green colored glasses? Animals see the world as a pristine place where they live, run and play, with no intention of polluting their pure habitat. If we looked at the world from the animals’ point of view, the future would be brighter, with increased respect for the environment, and its biodiversity. We would see clean energy possibilities, organic farming, recycling, and ethical and sustainable choices. Get the green light with the new Pizzolato Chianti.”
Pizzolato Chianti is a classic blend of 90% organic Sangiovese, 5% organic Canaiolo, and 5% organic Colorino. The wine has a ruby color with aromas of mixed berry fruit leather, strawberry, potters clay, rose hip jam, and roasted mushrooms. It has a crisp, dryish full body and a medium-long black pepper and caramelized squash finish. It is a tasty and balanced Chianti with great table-appeal (Tastings.com, 92 points and Best Buy-2016 vintage).
The new label conveys a sense of playfullness while the DOCG designation ensures quality in every bottle from one of Italy’s most recognized regions. As with all of Pizzolato’s wines, the Chianti is Certified Vegan and Made with 100% Organic Grapes.
