Spartico Organic Mulled Wine is Perfect for a Long Winter’s Night
Baby it’s cold outside and mulled wine is perfect for warming up on a cold winter’s night! Enjoy this recipe using our organic, no sulfites added Spartico Tempranillo-Cabernet blend.
“I think of mulled wine as cold weather sangria. Drinkable, flexible and fun. I used Spartico, an easy-drinking Spanish organic blend, as the base wine for this batch, the strong berry notes and the powdery tannins are just right for this recipe…Mulled wine certainly does not require an expensive or complex wine to be delicious. This version of mulled wine is not particularly sweet, if you want a sweeter experience add some apple juice or honey to the mix.
I like to make mulled wine with hard cider. I really believe craft cider is about to come into the spotlight…Gone are the flabby and overly sweet ciders, in their place are dry crisp beverages, with a little fizz and a lot of flavor.” -Kimberly Faye, Editor in Chief, Life of Vines Everywhere
Spartico No Sulfites Added Cabernet-Tempranillo is a delicious 50-50 blend of Spanish Cabernet and Tempranillo, produced by Bodegas Iranzo, Spain’s oldest estate bottled winery.
“Juicy, smooth and tangy with pure plum and racy raspberry, fresh and lively, balanced and certified Organic, quite charming.” Tasting Panel Magazine
