- Vineyard:
The vineyard is located in the south-west of Germany. The area is called Rheinhessen. It is one of the classical cool-climate regions of the world, allowing a long ripening time for beautiful fresh aroma with a little alcohol-level.
- Vinification:
Classical red production. Maceration for 2-4 weeks with several pump-overs for opimal color and harmonic tannins.
- Terroir:
Clay and loam soils with a high content of limestone.
- Training system:
It is used a non-pruning system where the vines are no more hand-pruned in winter. The vines grow free and develop very tasty, small sized grapes.
- Tasting Notes:
-
Dusty ruby color. Savory aromas and flavors of dark berries, chocolate with a satiny, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a refreshing, medium-long white chocolate brittle, dried sour cherry, beet root, and great finish with well-integrated, chewy tannins and light oak. An appetizing, flavorful and well-structured red wine that will improve with age.
- Enjoy with:
Grilled vegetables and meats, rice and pasta.
