Production Area:   Campo Gialli, between Florence and Siena, in Tuscany. Area of hills at the foot of the moutains of Pratomagno.  Argilous soil with south/southeast exposure; altitude: 1,000 feet above sea level.

Yield per Vine & Hectare: 50 ql/hectare

Training system: Espalier with spurred cord; planted in 1967 and 1995;

Hectares of Production:  35 Hectares

Vinification: Hand picking has been done by the end of September, with a careful selection of the grapes in the vineyard. Other strict selection before the delicate de-stemming process; the first fermentation has taken place in small stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature lasting 15 days.

Analytical Data:  12.8% alc/vol

Ageing: rested in small Allier French barrels of second and third use during 4-5 months.  Minimum bottle resting of three months prior to release date.
Tasting Notes: nice concentration, good and soft tannins, full bodied, well balanced, good aromatic persistence. 

Color: intense ruby red with hints of purple

Bouquet: flavors of red and ripe fruits (cranberries, red currants), aromatic herbs, some mineral and floral notes.

Conservation Time: up to 7 years.
